Oculo draws directly from the geometry of the Pantheon’s dome in Rome, faithfully reproducing its inner structure and transforming it into a contemporary design object. Reoriented from architecture to daily use, it becomes a tray for keys, coins, or small personal items — a fragment of history reimagined for modern life. The project required a meticulous study of the dome’s compositional grid, a challenge that shaped one of my most demanding yet rewarding works. Oculo embodies the dialogue between heritage and design, turning one of the world’s most iconic architectural symbols into a functional object of everyday beauty.
